Diego Silva

A young man filled with ideas, Diego Silva was destined to be an entrepreneur from an early age. As a musician, his concepts were materialized into songs, but the uncertainty and lack of activity with bands led him to seek new opportunities involving his passion, music. After attending Recording Arts Canada, he pursued a career as a Sound Technician, but it was music business that most intrigued him. Diego began hunting for music business opportunities and found himself working as a Sales Representative and Coordinator for Toronto’s biggest music festival, North by Northeast. Since then, he has built a web of connections around him, and the next logical step was to start his own business. He shared his knowledge of indie music and music history online, and seeing the success of online media, he launched his online music magazine, Bring Back the Boombox. Since its launch in July of ’09, the site has seen exponential growth in readership with big plans for 2010!
