Esther Simmonds-MacAdam began painting while living in Granada, Spain in 2006. Self-taught, she has pursued oils ever since.
Esther graduated from Concordia University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s Studies. She received a Master’s Degree from the University of Toronto in the Department of Sociology and Equity Studies in June 2008. Her thesis examined the erotic appeal of images of the male body for female spectators. She is now producing work based on her graduate analysis.
Esther cares about thoughtful people and thoughtful art. She is grateful to be able to engage with both on a regular basis. Esther is based in Toronto.
